Not sure how many hits I'll get on an English db, but here it goes...

I'd like to start building up a little collection of the better songs from the genre. I used to listen to a bit of Maná, Los Caifanes and a few others I can't remember back in college but haven't really been exposed to it much at all since. Oh yeah, I did download something from Enanitos Verdes which was pretty good, come to think of it. Can't remember the name. But in general I'm so out of it...

Anyone have any personal favorite artists/songs/albums they'd care to identify?

I think Caifanes changed names to Jaguares. Anyway if I think of more, i'll post them. :)

Thanks, Mastodon. I'll check those out.

I'm just easing into the music downloading thing. I keep it legal, btw. I've mostly started downloading from Walmart.com. Are there any other legal sites that are better for finding this type of music?

I'm not deeply into rock music in any language, but I am easing into hiphop, very very slowly. I like Spanish-language hiphop better than English for the most part, even though I'm white as typing paper and my Spanish is very very bad. I really like Los Orishas. Amazon.com has all their CD's.

    Oh, and Cafe Tacuba, ditto.

P.S. Mastodon, thanks for the list; I'll check them out.

Yeah, Mana had some cool albums, I also picked up this one group called Control Machete. An old girlfriend of mine turned me to it. Very hardcore political stuff that is being said.As well it's helping me improve my spanish as well. Hey, I want to be able to have a conversation with my abuela in spanish too you know.
