Where is the focus?

I just posted this on another thread and think there might be an interesting topic here.

It seems they are more active in tossing out the ones they have than in caring for the ones they want to keep.

no new doctrine - just rehash of rehash
constant proddings to do more but no real shepherding of the flock
searching out weak ones and demanding to know if they are still believers
searching out those who are walk-aways or faders to find out if they still want to be IDed as JWs
greater focus on $$$$give$$$$

Got other examples?
If you still go to meetings, where is the focus?

I noticed that too when I was a JW. But what could elders possibly say to help a "weak one" or give answers to deeper scriptural questions? What could an elder say that a person can't find themself in the WT CD or index? And anyone who does a lot of research will soon discover that it's all a lie, and I'm sure most elders realize it's all a lie. So rather than defending something they know to be a lie, it's easier to simply DF people.

I always thought their focus was on statistics.

Visit by elders at least once a year to see if you have any problems or concerns.

It's hard to fade or get away from the clutches of the WT boys when they are in your face every chance they get.

My sister in law couldn't make the book study one night.She called my wife to tell her she wouldn't be there and for her to inform the B.S conductor that there was no need for a call from him and that everything was alright. CONTROL...CONTROL...CONTROL

Its been a year and a half and still NO shepherding call. Not even a phone call. What ever happened to leaving the 99 and finding that lost sheep? Like any other business, its all about the $$$$$

As a non/never was/will be jw, that just annoys me to no end. The fact that they have to 'call in' when they can't make it.

On a funny note, for the longest time I looked at' B.S. conductor' in a completely different way than posters meant it!!! haha, yes, I know it is for Bible Study but that's not how even thought of it for such a long time! It just never even occured to me anyone meant Bible. Guess I always considered it a wt study not bible study. Maybe this should go to Lady Lee's thread she has got going.

Well by shepherding at least they are trying and obeying Jesus in going after the one lost sheep out of 100 - my issue is that very little shepherding is being done - and elders are supposed to be Shepherds, Teachers and Evangelizers (judges is last on the list) but the priorities are

Evangelizing, Teaching, Judicial and shepherding barely happens

I also noticed that they have nothing much new to say after 1992 whereas Franz while alive used to bring out lots of "new light" all the time giving the impression that the org was flourishing spiritually. He had endless revelations and visions.

This lack of vitality is a sure sign that god's own org is in steep decline.

When I said B.S. I wasn't thinking bible study or book study.I really meant BS

When Quotes had his site up he had a link to the BSCD...

He claimed BS meant book shelf but I am starting to wonder.Just downloaded it from www.reexamine.org and it really is BS

Many of the books from the 40's and 50's in case you didn't know.
