    Are the `verses' mean to make the magazines more academic looking?

    Could be...but if I remember well, they encourage JWs to look them up as they read, but except for my dad, I doubt many actually do it. They should read them though, along with the context, might open some eyes.

    Sort of like a tabloid bible, read today, throw away when the light gets dim.

    Nowadays many dubs get the verses emailed to them so they can read them without cracking open their Bible. The WTS has counseled against this but the practice still grow and grows albeit underground.

    Actually, it's a good thing. The dubs may actually read some thought provoking verses and they are breaking mother's rule at the same time.

    Each flexing of the wrists makes the ropes looser.

    The only "verses" I see in the magazine is the "us vs. the world" ideaology
