rather common. Be patient with your mom if you care about her.

The word "cult" has a lot of emotional triggers attached to it, like the "Jim Jones" thing. People read a lot of things in to that word that go beyond the plain definition. She has identified the WTBTS as wrong for her, and she'd probably be happy with the "high control group" label, so I go along with everyone else.
