AuldSoul--I'm not an apologist for JWs, but neither am I a weak minded fool who feels the need to go along with the crowd. I call it as I see it--plain and simple.
The hateful vitriol which you and certain others in this forum spew out against JWs on a personal level says more about your own demons and personality flaws than it does about JWs.
The fact is, regardless of what you say, JWs truly believe that celebrating certain holidays is wrong, and therefore out of conscience they choose not to. Decent JWs who are offered gifts or other well-meant gestures on such occasions graciously accept them and don't feel the need to make an issue out of it. That is not JW apologetics--it is reality.
