They abandoned that scripture Buttlight, but you never know, they might bring it back and tack it on to 2034 when the end doesn't come.

tack it on to 2034 when the end doesn't come. OR -- since the advertize, advertize, the king and his kingdom call went out in 1922/23 that would make 2042/2043

So there's truth, just not as prominent as say the 1975 thing then? I was hoping for something saying "This looks like the end" or something. It would be fantasmic.

Can't believe they're doing it again, like they didn't have enough of 1975 by now. Then again, 2034 is still long way off and many of us "apostates" will not be around any more to see if it comes about. and to add: This is just a perfect example of their double talk, leaving things "implied" and if you misunderstand it, hey its your fault, we've never said that. Man it just makes me sick.

And what will come after 2034? The JW R&F are being taken out on a long long ride. Anyone that knows the long history of their false prophecies and still believes anything they say is worthy of his fate.

Right now, there's nothing. Just some speculation among some of the more air-headed rank and file n00bs over one sentence in a Watchtower.

The JW's did not start their preaching work in 1914. In fact, they were patting themselves on the back for having done it for 100 years with the centennial edition of The Watchtower clear back in 1979.

It would take "New light" of some sort to draw a parallel with Noah's 120 years and anchor it to 1914 as a starting point. I don't doubt for a minute that they're capable of this; they just haven't done it yet.

The latest date I heard for the end was "SOOOOOOOOON!"

The message isn't changing, the end isn't near, they weren't expecting Christ's return in 1914 until the 1930s, Christ didn't choose them in 1919 until 1925 (and even then he didn't choose the Faithful and Discreet Slave, he chose a lush and his cronies).

They have made prophecy after prophecy. None have come true. The years leading up to 1914 were worse than any time in human history until after the change in understanding about 1914 in the 1930s. Then the period leading up to 1914 was idyllic and no one expected it to come to an abrupt end, but by God it did! Exactly as the Bible students were failing to foretell.

It is a group of shysters hoodwinking well-intentioned and believing souls. Their religion is a snare and a racket. Brooklyn Heights landed on them.

There's absolutely no doubt that 2034 will be given more and more prognosticatory prominence by the WTS as the years slowly go by and this date looms closer and closer.

I'm thinking it will happen this week. If you correct the math so instead of 1914 you get 1935, and then add the much sacred 70 years you get 2005. Say goodbye to your loved ones folks, its finally here!!!!

    Accordingly

his days shall amount to a hundred and twenty years.—Gen. 6:3.

Only 120 years more and Jehovah would bring "the deluge of waters upon the earth to bring to ruin all flesh in which the force of life is active from under the heavens." (Gen. 6:17) When Noah was informed, he wisely used the time to prepare for survival. "After being given divine warning of things not yet beheld," says the apostle Paul, "[Noah] showed godly fear and constructed an ark for the saving of his household." (Heb. 11:7) What about us? Some 90 years have passed since the last days of this system of things began in 1914. We are certainly in "the time of the end." (Dan. 12:4) How should we respond to warnings we have been given? "He that does the will of God remains forever," states the Bible. (1 John 2:17) Now is therefore the time to do Jehovah’s will with a keen sense of urgency. w 12/15/03 6, 7
