At the risk of being censored or deleted I have to ask this:
Why is a thread that asks people's opinions about someone popular on this board locked and the poster warned that if he does it again, he'll be deleted?
I agree that the poster who started the thread is a little antagonistic at times, but I saw nothing that warranted locking the thread or warning the poster of deletion. Can't he state his opinions as long as he doesn't slander or lie? Can't he ask others their opinion?
The poster who had their thread locked and was warned of deletion was called an unpleasant name that technically broke forum rules. Why wasn't the person who uttered that unpleasantness warned about his actions?
While I admire the hard work that any and all ex-JWs do to try to fight the WTS, we can't place any single one of them on some kind of platform and expect them to not have to meet the same criticism that everyone else faces.
If someone started a thread, "Can minimus be trusted?" I'm sure it would be alive and well at this moment.
Protecting someone from criticism like that reminds me of JW fanaticism in that no one shall question the motives or actions of those who have explicit trust from the body of believers.
If this thread is locked for my opinion on this, then maybe the cult mentality is still alive and well amongst those of us who swore to never be swept up in it again.
