Where`s that scripture where Jesus says clearly that the distinction between a false and a true prophet, is that the false prophets pophecies will fail to come true?

Matthew 7:15-20 is a discourse from Jesus on the false prophets within the christians. The jewish christians would be familiar with De 18:20-22.
Mark 13:22-23 also has Jesus giving warning about the false prophets trying to mislead by signs and wonders
*edited to add: I also find Jeremiah 14:14-15 interesting too in this regard. Hope that helps

The Deuteronomy one....I used at the end of my DA letter.:) Quite effective and it was one of the fist verses to really make me think.

In my opinion its something like this in practice: the real prophets got their info straight from heaven, the false prophets quote the real prophets without adding anything to it cause the heavens are closed to them. take care the Fox
