Yup! Go to court. Try do delay to a day like Friday after Thanksgiving or a date between Christmas and New Years. If the cop doesn't show, you win. I went to court with a friend and he represented himself and when it looked like he was going to loose, he started to cry and he begged the judge to not let the charge go on his insurance. The judge dismissed the charge on the condition my friend pay the fine. The cop got to see the fine collected and my friend had the charge dropped. They both won.

    Don't Speed.

Lol. J/k, that's rich coming from me. I'm lucky to only have had one ticket, but I swear that damn camera was wrong, I was well un ere the limit on that road. As for getting out of the ticket, I have no tips, but over here it's next to impossible to get out of it...

Look in the yellow pages. You can find lawyers who specialize in traffic tickets. I've gotten one ticket in my life and the lawyer I hired was able to get it dismissed. Not bad for $70.00 (far less than the cost of the ticket).

Always always always fight a ticket in court. There are things about the law that a lawyer will know about and will be able to use the law to your advantage. I have no idea how or why my case was dismissed. All I know is when I showed up at the courthouse the lawyer came up to me and told me to just go home because it was dismissed.

As a last-ditch effort, here in Texas we have the option to use Deferred Adjudication. When you appear before the judge and request Deferred Adjudication it means that he will postpone adjudication for six months and if you don't get another ticket in that time the charges will be dropped. You may also have to take a driving safety class... but in the end the charges will be dropped and will be removed from your record.

I dunno about you, but I would feel kinda violated if I was frisked by a cop before they even attempted to confirm my identity.

If you are a registered user of your dad's vehicle, maybe this is a procedural gap that you can use to your advantage.

Oh- god news though- my nest post will make me an emperor!!

I thought you were going to tell us that you had just switched to Geico ...!!

Sorry about the speeding ticket. I have no suggestions for fighting it except traffic school - if you are eligible.
