"...The document is about 20,000 pages long. Inside, the names and accounts of men both inside and outside of the organization from 1965 to 1985 that the Boy Scouts believed committed acts of abuse..."

How the public release of this file affect the Watchtower Pedo file? Any precedent that might be set with respect to the Watchtower Pedo file stored in its database? Could this sent a psychological tremor to the Watchtower Headquarters in New York? Please, what do you think?

Attorney Peter Janci moves boxes full of records from the Boy Scouts of America, which is set to release 20,000 pages of documents the organization kept on men suspected of committing child abuse.

Thing about this is it's only records fro '65 to '85. That means the most recent stuff is 27 years ago, the oldest 47 years ago. Some of these offenders are no doubt dead already. At my son's pack, it seemed like the majority of parents were in their mid 30's. Let's say 35 is an average age. These offenders now range from 62 to 82.

Perhaps these people went on to commit more crimes in the past 27-47 years. And it's horrible. But what about all the current ones that are much younger and might have a lot more years of committing crimes now? Where are the files from '85 to '12?

I think, this is a very important question. What I found to be on interest is that the media resports of records dating from '65 to '85. I wonder what do the 'status of limitation' means to these years?

"You do not get to keep secrets about hidden dangers to children. Period," said Portland attorney Kelly Clark.

    WT take note.

My wife and I were watching the national news.

When this story went out, I asked her "What do you think of an organization that has secrets about pedophiles and covers it up? What do you think should be done to such an organization?"

I think she saw through that. She decided not to say a word.

As a born-in, I could never dream of being in the Boy Scouts but I always envied my school mates who were involved. Getting badges, cool uniforms and the occasional outing, etc. It has always seemed like a wholesome thing. Too bad. It sounds like a bunch of pubescent boys being supervised by adults who had, at least, very poor scrupels or outright pedos.

The Society has always boasted that the devils own legal system has been thwarting Satan's efforts to stop them (the dragon disgorging water, etc), but now that same legal system and hero lawyers like Kelly Clark could be turning into their worst nightmare, and about time.
