The similarites between the MORMONS ( LDS.ORG ) AND JWS ( JW.ORG ) are startling!!!

Here is another, both false religions have governing body's made up of predominantly white Anglo men, but tout themselves as being worldwide united religions... Where is the diversity??? Both groups look like board members of any top fourtune 500 company. We'll truthfully at the end of the day they are not religions but companies...

They are similar in many ways.

    Strange beliefs peculiar to them

    The Anglo angle

One takes away your coffee but gives you holidays - the other denies you an education but you can booze and caffeinate!

They both think only they have it right.

Both attempt to position themselves as a co-mediator between God and Man ...as does the cult of Mary.

Even their website home pages are designed with much the same layout.

Have any of you seen the play, "The Book of Mormon?" It was written by the creators of South Park, who are former Mormons. It is hilarious! I've heard that it's being made into a movie. I hope so, because EVERYONE should see it!

Token black guy.......like Token.... the black kid from South Park?

Mum, Matt Parker and Trey Stone were never Mormon, although Matt Parker's first girlfriend was Mormon. See the below excerpt from their interview with Reason magazine. The entire article is a good read on their thoughts on religion.

Dec 1, 2006, Reason Magazine Interview with Matt Parker and Trey Stone

reason: How were each of you raised religiously?

Stone: I was raised agnostic. There was no religion in my house.

Parker: I was pretty much the same. My father tried to raise me Buddhist, as in Alan Watts Buddhism, which is Buddhism in a way.

reason: I have Mormon friends who are convinced you guys were raised Mormon, because of some of the references in the show.

Parker: Well, we grew up in Colorado. Colorado's right next to Utah--you know, Mormon Central. My first girlfriend was Mormon, and I went to experience family home evening at her house for the first time. "What are you all doing?" "We're sitting, and we're singing songs and playing games together." I was like, "Boy, that's fucked up. Families are not supposed to be doing that."

reason: There are also a lot of Jewish references. There's a whole episode about going to Jewish camp, where they do silly craft projects. Did you go to a Jewish camp?

Stone: No, no. I didn't even know I was Jewish until I was 16.

Parker: I had to teach him the dreidel song.

Stone: I'm not a very good Jew.

Neither religion has any intellectual relevance they have offered the planet. Neither one walks forward in time. All the advancements in civil and qual rights on the outside are kept at bay inside their churches. They are both filled with hypocrisy and they hide that hypocrisy with a flood of bright smiles and soft-coated pictures.

They both do the stupidest thing imaginable: They practice “sensus literalis” reading or reading with a literal sense of scripture.

If neither religion has any grasp, knowledge, or appropriateness regarding the history and creation of the bible... how the f**k are they suppose to be trusted with the answers that are IN the bible?

One thing that JWs have going for them is that they are not a purposefully inbred religion like the LDS.
