    Shuster's Tale

Today I added a new article to my blog addressing a sworn statement by Allen Shuster of Watchtower’s Service Department. He (and Watchtower) made specific claims about something they say does not exist.

My article takes Shuster’s claim to task, and for the first time shares a 1970 letter from Watchtower that, to my knowledge, has never been shared before online. This letter and additional information calls into question the veracity of Shuster’s claim. Was he being honest? Readers can decide for themselves.

My article is titled Shuster's Tale and is available at: http://marvinshilmer.blogspot.com/2012/06/shusters-tale.html

In this article I forgot to highlight Watchtower's request for even more informaiton of a person who'd already been disfellowshipped more than 20--years previous. But it's in there now!

Interesting stuff. Is there a way to enlarge the court documents even more than what they are once clicked on? I can't read the print even with my reading glasses on.

Maybe this is why this message got scant attention. I wondered why.

Right click on the image and select open in new tab (or window). After the new tab (or window) opens then left click the image and it will enlarge.

This letter is must reading. It’s an express admission by Watchtower that it has constructed and maintains its own database of information about individuals who have suffered disfellowshipping. In his deposition Allen Shuster (Service Department mucky-muck) claims ignorance of this information. The congregation elder recipient of this letter was a longtime Bethelite and former CO. Perhaps this is why this Watchtower letter spoke so loosely. These days the man resides at Watchtower’s launching pad in Wallkill.

Any elder/former elder knows the society has a personnell record keeping system that would be the envy of the CIA/FBI. Bunch of weasels.

    Nice article, BTW.

How do they figure that reports of child molesting to the Watch Tower is attorney-client privilege? In a letter from the society to the BOE it was said that elders shouldn't refer to the legal department as their lawyers...I wish I could remember which letter it was. And the elders would call the Service Department, not the legal deparment, right? But even if the elders did talk to the organization's lawyer directly when reporting accusations or confesions of child molesting, they are talking to the Watch Tower attorneys and not their attorneys.

Here is a thread with the BOE letter I mentioned above and OTWO's post that has similar thinking to mine.

If the question isn't worded using exact language and exact titles of Watch Tower speak, a JW believes they are being truthful even though they really know what the question refers to. They actually find it humorous and classify it as being "innocent as doves" and as "cautious as serpents" that they can use such trickery on Satan's worldy representatives.

A Watch Tower rep that did our Kingdom Hall dedication related an experience where he used such justification of providing misleading answers to government officials in a country that he was assigned to.

(Matthew 10:16) . . ."Look! I am sending YOU forth as sheep amidst wolves; therefore prove yourselves cautious as serpents and yet innocent as doves.
