  DEFEND YOUR BORDERS OR LISTEN TO THE WATCHTOWER?

  with ww3 on the horizon the watchtower is bringing out their best hits on the issue of neutrality and the latest instalment on jw.org with stephen lett has the theme " why ancient israelites were allowed to go to war but as a christian you can't " or to paraphrase for a 2024 audience " why the modern state of israel is allowed all the nuclear weapons to defend their borders but you as a western european or north american you aren't supposed to compliant against open border policies and uncontrolled illegal migration" isn't that the exact same rhetoric or is it my imagination?

  so one of stephen lett's go to arguments is that christians do not take up arms because we don't live in ancient times where israelites had a mandate to occupy the holy land where as we gentile christians we don't.

  there are the rare exceptions.

  they are more known for their fear mongering and doomsday scenarios where "the dead shall come to be as manure on the surface of the ground from one end of the earth clear to the other".

  Discouraging JWs From Calling

  i was reading an anti cult reddit post where a woman (ex mormon) was trying her hardest to discourage the mormons from visiting her and trying to convert her back.

  a few others chimed in about their various methods (coming to the door naked, pretending to be practicing black magic, etc.

  ) which they claimed would have the mormons and jws running away as fast as possible.. somehow, i doubt it.

  vicky and mike hobbs are ex jehovah’s witnesses and ex beroean pickets members their personal statements and experiences within the beroean pickets bible study groups wasn't pleasant.

  and vicky was likened to the antichrist because of her differing views.

  WT motion to dismiss fails.

  i have read the summary carefully and watchtower must pay the lawsuit.. the court did acknowledge one branch of the motion to dismiss, however only based on a duplication in law.

  the charge against wt sticks.

  and they must pay,.

  Society got it's claws on ex-jw activst in Finland

  ex-jw activist jari-pekka peltoniemi got in trouble when fighting against borg in finland.. mr peltoniemi was on teams meeting and made the content public.. albeit the meeting itself is public the appeal court (peltoniemi won in district court) took the stand that it a private not public matter.

  mr peltoniemi published the information first without blurring the faces of the elders but blurred them later on.

  apparently it was too late.. legal fees are around 20 000 eur which are bit too much for a person living with modest pension.. it needs to be pointed out that it was mr peltoniemi who informed the finnish data ombudsman about the way jws do notes or rather "public data bank" when they do their perching activity.
