Wow.
Seven years ago everything “changed”
Left an unhealthy six year relationship. (amicably, I’m happy to say)
Left an unhealthy 27 year cult-ish relationship. (telling the truth to the dubs does that)
Made a slight career shift (or two)
Explored and experimented and dabbled. Bit of work, bit of play, bit of schooling.
Rebelled. Made a bunch of mistakes
Faced a ton of fears.
Ran from a few others. (Ah, well)
Got my class six licence. (hmmm, been a while, i wonder if I’ll remember how – haha)
Took Emergency Medical Response training (scored 4.0)
Dabbled in voiceover and vocals.
Read, read, and read. Randomly.
Took a memorable road trip (without so much as packing a bag!)
Spent some time around nature.
Volunteered a wee bit.
Navel gazed.
Found art.
Worked hella hard on various shifting family relationships.
Dated. Hahahahahahahahahahahahhaah. (‘nuf said)
Moved four times. (bringing my total times moved in life to 33)
Doubled my earnings (and my expenditures. pffft).
Made an ass of myself.
Found/made some frenz.
Grew closer to calm as I realize these past seven yearz have been a'ight.
How often do we glance back, take a wee breath,
appreciate how far we’ve come,
and give our crew a wee bit of credit for how much they’ve helped?
Six years ago I found this place.
Really not sure how I might have fared through everything without it (and you).
Thanks for being (somewhere out) there, eh.
I’ve got a few wrinkles now.
They’re the good kind.
The smiling by the eyes kind.
And I’m sure you get some of the cred.
Phew, I’m tired.
And ready to “pay the piper”.
I’m resting, purging, clearing out the baggage. Yuck.
Make way, make way … for the next seven yearz.
