...the seeker/ searcher goes on to the next search hit which is THIS SITE.

What does www.watchtower.org expect for the googler to do if he does indeed go to the official site. Reads. And then, invariably HAS QUESTIONS, FEEDBACK, REBUTTALS AND/ OR EDITORIALS. The site has no features to do such. Where are they left to go?

Bingo!! Sites where they CAN do all of the above, and more.

If they want to impress strongly to it's members that googling and going to the sites one googles will cause one to STUMBLE onto apostate sites, then I suggest they put in place all of the above. Because that IS what is happening. It only stands to reason that one wants a place to feedback and ask questions on what they are reading. Share experiences.

Where's a brother to go when in cyberspace when all that out there is "this system of things"? And more and more each day jws are getting sucked right up in it WILLINGLY AND WILLFULLY while on the net and using google. What is one to expect from this? Where else CAN they go?

I'll tell you where TED: Away from you! And straight into sites and chats like yahoo (which most jws that have a high visitation rate there become severly stumbled and weak if they don't get smart and leave), sites like this and www.freeminds.org--www.silentlambs.org

The heavy presense of apostates there that are basically force-feeding the room with "all things corrupt, deceptive and lethal with WatchTower/ jws" do the average jw there no good. Sometimes we get a surprise that it indeed did do some good and thus encourage them to keep googling and keep reading.

It's going to be interesting to watch how fast this snowballs. Better strap your Depends on tight brother.

Good point. This is already an E-ticket ride and Paradise Mountain seems to be down for the season.

When I started reading appostate sites as a loyal JW. I was draw to the wealth of information that appostates had even though I still felt they were evil apsotates but more and more I got to see them as indivuals that saw through the Governing Body,, and that they were,, very very nice people. Boy was I upset when it finally dawn on me that I had been hoodwinked by GB and now they were going to villianize me to my friends with the label "appostate" and evil .

    Very good, Skally.

I do have one comment. The manner in which you informed Ted was very, very inappropriate as he needs a bit more current applied to get his light turned on enough so he can understand your commentary. Would you mind replaying the post at a much higher electrical current?

I agree with Honesty. You went too easy. Testicular application of current would be an improvement. If you can find the ... well, anyway.

sf. Thats what happened to me. I was just learning how to use a computer last year and googled JWS. The official site was so boring, that the next one I clicked onto was this site. The rest is history

The trouble is when I was a dub I knew NOTHING of the scandles or false doctrines, so it came as quite a shock. The WT are full of ambiquous warnings about lies and half truths, they never actually say whats been said, and what there rebuffles are. Sometimes I used to sit there wondereing what on earth the WT was going on about.

Absolutely agree - for God's Organisation, in these times of ''The End'', one would think that they would encourage any ''interested'' persons to approach them.

I've heard it said that that the official WT site doesn't do this as it wuld be swamped with apostate email etc, BUT, in MY opinion, even if there was ONE genuine enquiry amongst several thousand it would be worthwhile.

Perhaps, having to 'employ' one 'brother' to read/answer all enquiries/emails, he (the 'brother') would be exposed to too much information that the Society is trying to keep from HQ, and after being 'exposed', the 'Truth' virus would spread.............just a thought.

But , you're not supposed to ask questions in the first place.

They start as they mean to go on, ask no questions, we'll tell no lies!
