FINAL PEDOPHILE POLL RESULTS
Important note: There is no means at this time to truly ascertain the total number of pedophiles in the USA or in any specific group, such as the JWs. Estimates and extrapolations are about the best anyone can do in an attempt to get a handle on the potential scope of the problem. The Poll results below will provide minimums, maximums, and possible averages given the raw data I have had to work with, and the averages provided by various study groups:

*Note: There are three different estimates based on different studies. One study used by the Attorney I have been working with, who prosecutes such cases, shows that the average is 300+ Victims / Molester. The Klass Kids Foundation / Poly Klass Foundation (This was founded because of the murder and rape of Poly Klass) shows an average number of 150 Victims / Molester. SilentLambs site uses another study that shows and average of 70 Victims / Molester.
The reason that these averages vary depends on how the study is conducted and the assumptions made. Here are the possible explanations:
1. Some studies resulted in more Situational Molesters. These are mostly molesters who have only 2 or 3 incidents in their life based on ‘situations’ that, if they did not happen, there is a chance they would never have engaged in the act.
2. Most studies deal with Preferential Molesters who make a “career” of molesting children of families and friends that they know, and will also pick up stranger children and engage them, but they are far less inclined to use force or violence. The averages in these studies depend largely on whether other types of molesters are factored in. Most studies agree that the Preferential molester accounts for about 90% of all known molesters, and the average number of victims range between 70 and 150.
3. Some studies deal with Predator Molesters who abduct children by force then rape, torture, mutilate and often murder their victims. These Molesters will have hundreds of victims before they are caught. The highest average I have seen in print is 281, and this correlates somewhat with the Attorney data of 300+. My initial use of his numbers was intended to get to the maximum scope of the problem.

GOAL OF ex-JW EFFORTS: SilentLambs, many others and myself are not out to “get” the Watch Tower Organization. We do not “hate” JWs, unlike the way that the Watchtower magazine exhorted the JWs to “hate” ex-JWs and label them ‘Apostates.’ We are not out to cause trouble for JWs, or interfere with their main message of a Paradise Earth as their hope for eternity.
We do seek to expose the problem, identify what are known to be the core issues making Pedophiles a serious problem among Jehovah’s Witnesses. We seek, if necessary, to FORCE the Watch Tower Society to change its policies in dealing with JW Pedophiles. We do this so as to protect JW and non-JW children who have been or will be Victims. If this exposure and effort leads to consequential activities that results in the Watch Tower religion being further exposed for other problems, such as its Blood and Shunning Policies, its False Prophecies, and its Misleading the JWs, then so be it. If this leads to their religion being reduced in ranks and possibly fading away, then so be it ... BUT ... that is not the goal or focus of the effort.
Why just target the JW religion in our efforts if our concern is for both JW and non-JW children? Because that is where our information, experiences, observations, testimony, and documentation are focused. We have far more capability to achieve effective results with the JW organization than other target groups. What may be learned with this project can be shared with other groups so that they have some idea as to how to go about effecting change within their systems. And what other groups share with us will help in the success of this project.
The goal is not to imply that JW men are ‘all’ a bunch of molesters, but rather to focus on the fact that molesters do exist in their organization and ‘are’ protected by Watch Tower Society policy, which is largely meant to protect the Watch Tower Society’s marketing image. As a result of their motive to look good in the eye of themselves and the rest of the world, countless numbers of children have been needlessly victimized ... a victimization that would never have happened if the Watch Tower Society were to have caught up to the Roman Catholic Church, or the Boy Scouts, or Day Care Centers, or Public Schools, and properly taken care of the problem. IF we can succeed in simply getting the Watch Tower Society to effect good policy, then it will all have been worth the time and effort. - Amazing
