I hadn't heard the bit about 48 pages...

Note on page 3, the announcement about Kingdom Melodies being distributed without approval. Talk about the least downloaded thing on Napster.....

Yes I noted this also - brothers making jazzed up - or rocked up versions of Kingdom Melodies and then distributing them receives an unequivocal NO

Thanks for posting all four pages of the KM.

Look at the announcements on p.3...remember a few months ago JWs thought George Benson & Celine Dion remade a few Kingdom Melodies? Well regardless of who sang the songs they sounded halfway decent all things considered. The Branch says the friends are calling asking about the songs and so they are making an announcement that the songs are not authorized by Society, and then they proceed to tell grown people not to circulate the songs or download them from the Internet!

The gall of these men. There are much more important things they need to announce to the congregations besides not downloading a few songs. How about announcing, "We were wrong, we are sorry" or "This is the last KM, no more Service Meetings".

How many more friends have called the Branch about the UN fiasco, but there wasn't a KM announcement.

    These guys are bananas.

Gawd, I forgot how SIMPLISTIC it was written, and the questions at the bottom are so redundant. It's really too childish. That's like in kindergarten when you ask a child to recite something you've just said to teach them a new letter or new word.

AUGH!!! It for sure is NOT literature in the true sense of the word. It is printed material, but not literature in the LITERARY sense.

That is real funny. My wife got a CD of these songs from a brother in the hall and bragged to me about how C. Dion was the singer of them. I told her she was on crack. How on earth would a "worldly" singer sing these crappy songs is beyond me. It is only a matter of time when she reads this KM that she will be shot down yet again.

    Captain Schmideo,

Thanks for taking the time to do the scan and link for us. I always love to get this kind of information before my wife does

The 48 page thing was a typo on another thread (no not mine) The Awake will continue to stay a mind numbing 32 pages long

Typical WT BS. They take a whole page to say what they could have said in about 2 sentences. "Dear borthers and sisters, as of January 1, 2006 the Awake will now be a monthly issue." I sure am glad I don't have to sit thorugh all those boring service meetings anymore.

Speaking of PDF, I have a great idea for them on how they can sell distribute their rags magazines and practically eliminate paper costs, but unfortunately it requires their members to use the Internet.
