JW suicide vs Non-JW suicide

This is a bit of a spinoff of these two threads:

The reason for this is to actually get some numbers to look at. I've noticed that in the threads above, some commented about having no real numbers to play with that prove JWs have a high suicide rate.

So, here's what I'm requesting: state how many JWs you knew committed suicide, then state how many worldly people you knew committed suicide. You do not have to give details, as the threads above provide enough.

This will still be far from accurate as there are certain uncontrolled variables. For some people on here, the majority of the people they know are JWs, for some the majority are worldy, so you can't compare the two groups.

I cant even begin to tell you how many JW's I know thought of sucide, to the point of making a plan, and then those who tried and failed ( thank Goodness).

So far since I have been in the real world around non JW people, I find that you don't hear nearly as much depression talk, suicide talk, or as much chronic pain syndromes as I heard while I was a witness. This is just my experience , I know everyone in the world has these problems, but I did see an alarming high rate of these probs with both the brothers and the sisters.

Unfortunately this is a hot topic with me as I have seen the lives of so many taken and so many on the verge often - in the org for 43 years I have personally known:

JW's - 10

Studying to be - 1

Non JW - 1

Ages ranged from 17 - 91, male and female, R&F, elder, with the most recent being my own JW dad one year ago.

A friend who is the wife of an elder is currently suffering from suicidal thoughts and her own JW mom has told her that it would be " better if she would kill herself than to leave the "truth". Encouraging huh?
