Firstly .......I don't mean for one minute the end of friendships that may have been cultivated here.....or the "help" that may have been extended to those who needed it.... There are some good people here. But........
BUT...... How often can the same old topics be bounced about and re-cycled amongst the topic threads here, usually created by the same few, for an imaginary multitude that I just don't see. OK you say many may look in here, and may not comment. I feel sort of sorry for those that may be in that predicament. I think they must see a sort of messed up sort of group full off cliques and rules that they might have tried to escape from. Several posters have posted recently and its a bit pitiful to see the word TROLL bandied about if you're not in the club. Its becoming far too elite.
I guess its coz I just don't see this mass exodous that keeps being prophesised here, yes one or two drop in, and you are the first to help them out of their former beliefs.....but sometimes its like being on a round-about....A few hardcore members with a peripheral supporting group parroting the same old stuff in support. Are you really helping? Am I? who knows......just every now and then you need to take stock though. Anger can sometimes be healthy....extended though it becomes a problem. The worst is Ridicule for anyone that doesn't quite fit into the new "enlightened" group......that cuts all understanding stone dead, and defeats the whole original purpose of this forum.
Many will reply saying how this forum helped them, and thats good. But its such a small drop in the ocean.I still feel sorry for those who may need genuine help because they're hurting and just listen from the sidelines.
This forum needs to concetrate less on its fixation of the WT and how to bring it down and all that childish playground crap, and more on how to help people who might need an ear to hear, in other words less on projecting their own predjudices and anger and more on taking the time to listen. Sometimes most here sound like such a bitter twisted old tiresome group.....believe me. Self Indulgence gets tiresome. Move on.
