Since 1983, the book, Crisis of Conscience, by Raymond Franz has taken on a life of its own ... translated now into many languages. While at BRCI, I saw Crisis of Conscience in Spanish, Portuguese, Italian and others languages, even Japanese ... Japan has long been the love child nation that the Watchtower uses to beat the western JWs over the head ... more than this, though ...

Crisis of Conscience is now in its Fourth Edition, being revised in April 2002 !!! containing a discussion of the United Nations NGO issue and many other fascinating updates ... well worth reading about ... also ...

Here are all the languages I spotted on the Commentary Press web site:

    English
    French
    German
    Hungarian
    Italian
    Spanish
    Swedish
    Czech
    Danish
    Dutch
    Japanese
    Polish
    Portuguese
    Russian

As I noted in the BRCI thread, the Hispanic community in several areas is starting to distrust the Watchtower Society ... and given that Crisis of Conscience has been available in Spanish for several years, it is only a matter of time as the Hispanic community reads about the UN issue and other updated information to give them pause to see the Watchtower for what it is.

AND, I hope that there may be more translations in the making ... so that Crisis of Conscience will be available to even more ... yet, the Watchtower Society just does not get it ... that information is getting out ... via all kinds of means ... and Crisis of Conscience is staying updated to continue the battle ... other books, like 30 years a Watchtower Slave, have pretty much remained stuck in history ... but Crisis of Conscience is getting better as the years go by ... staying ahead of the Organization ... ... I recommend, if you can, visiting the Commentary Press web site at: http://www.commentarypress.com/ If you have not done so already, order a copy of this latest 4th Edition of Crisis of Conscience.

    Hi Amazing,

: but Crisis of Conscience is getting better as the years go by ... staying ahead of the Organization

Anyone who is a decade out of the Dark Ages is well ahead of the Organization!

Hey Dutchie: That's Great. Maybe Commentary Press will pay me a sales commission. I picked up the latest edition while at BRCI. As expected, Ray did a great job in updating with good material. Let me know what you think of it after you read it. Also, the Gentile Times Reconsidered is updated, and I got a copy of that one too. I read the first edition, but loaned it out and lost track of it. So, I decided the updated version was even better to have on hand.

Excellent point!!! It only takes that first step to stay home from a meeting to start getting ahead of the organization.

Isn't it amazing that CoC is still as relevant and up to date today as it was 20 years ago?

When I look in my library, I see dozens (more like 100) of the Society's books that have become obsolete. Most of them barely last a decade before they become so filled with errors that they are unusable.

Maybe true light just stays bright.

    Thank you Amazing,

I am taking your recent advice, and sending Mr. Franz my own personal Thank You, for helping to save my life.

Years and years ago, I met him personally, when we were both active. He was so humble and pure. I always remembered him, and thought that the borg was so wrong when they labled him and told us not to read any of his material.
