LAWSUIT ANNOUNCEMENT

I have made contact with a journalist in New England who is planning to attend the recent lawsuit filed in Wilton, NH against the JW Elders, the congregation, and the Watchtower Society in New York. The writer will give me direct reports which I am permitted to pass along to you as the trial progresses.

We are waiting to find out exactly which courthouse it will be held and what the trial dates are before finalizing plans. However, as each trial day ends, I will post any updates as I receive them.

Should you have any question or issues that you want the journalist to respond to or pay special attention to, then feel free to comment below and I will pass these along. Also, you may do the same during the trial by commenting to my updated posts.

I consider this trial a very important case for several reasons. While it is not the first of its kind, it is a first in some other respects, and its successful conclusion will be more important in case law. I will provide my basis for this view in a later post.

As some other poster requested yesterday, those of us interested in the details of this case would be satisfied at this point if those of you "in the loop" would simply post the "Answer" from the Defendants.

It would also be nice if you could post the Calendar, as well as the inevitable Motions and Rulings.

Then, once the "groundrules" are established we will worry about the actual trial.

I don't know whether you are being a smartass, or whether you simply didn't read and/or understand the above, but all the above "things" are the "preliminaries" which set the stage for the trial, which may not take place for many months.

These "preliminaries" are just as important as the trial itself, probably more so in this case due to the "gray" legal issues.

I read and understood what you meant. I was responding mostly to what you said, which was,

The purpose of my response was to agree to get that information, if possible. My contact will be there and will be able to do this, and report back to me. I agree that knowing the pre-trial information will be useful, and that is what I meant about getting this well in advance, and being useful in following the trial when it gets underway.

When I stated, "I think your comments are excellent and are good points to look for in this trial." I meant that the pre-trial information will be useful to know. My reference to the 'trial' was more in a global sense, including all that activities from the initial filing on August 8th, through ther preliminaries, and the actual trial itself.

I well understand pre-trial activity. I am in court on a semi-regular basis and represent clients. So, I was not misunderstanding you. Sorry that my first response appeared confusing. Amazing

You have often spoken of this one trial as if its outcome will totally make or break the will of Anderson & Rinehardt (and other attorneys) to pursue additional cases of child abuse against the Watcthower Society. It won't. If it's lost due to some technicality for example, the series of lawsuits will still continue. Nor will the views of your source and yourself sweep away the sentiments and and realities of the rest of us which are definitely for the victims.

I have done no such thing. I have made little mention of it on this board, and I NEVER stated that it would break anyone's will. I have said that it will be an important case, though not the first of its kind, because there are some important issues I am aware of, and its success will set some important case law precedant. BUT ... I am not revealing what I am aware of, because I do not want the WTS trolls to tip off the Watch Tower Society.

I fully agree, and hope for their continuance. A successful win, however, will make certain things I referred to above easier in future cases.

I NEVER suggested otherwise ... and I NEVER stated any view that my contact holds. I have been championing this cause since August of 2000 when I borught up the problem in my JUSTICE SERIES on H20 and repeated on this Forum. Since that time, others have stepped forward. SilentLambs finally emerged and resigned as PO in Kentucky, setting off a media blitz. As SilentLambs has taken center stage, I have been in total support of his activities. I get frequent contact from Victims: And I take time to help each as I can. So, I fail to understand how you could in anyway make such a claim.

Finally: In my own family back on the west coast, my daughter's father-in-law was arrested last March for pedophilia. His trial in currently in session, so I have been following this and taling with NBC Dateline. If there is anyone on this board that is for the victims, it is me.

PS: Your style in reading into my posts statements that I never made reminds my of old Harold from H20. Could it be? Thanks for sharing your point of view. - Amazing

Hello Amazing:

I don't know where to begin. I get extremely disturbed when ones like you are spoken to with rude insinuations and blatant misreading your statements. You, on the other hand, have such patience and finesse and I, for one, will not blame you one bit if you ever lose your cool at such (I'm trying to be kind) lack of judgement.

Even before I met you and listened to you speak so emotionally of your own personal life and involvement in these cases, I, and I know I'm not alone, could see the heart and soul you put into your posts here.

Please continue to fill us in with whatever is deemed OK to let us know about. We most assuredly do NOT expect you to reveal things that the WTS could pick up on and use to their advantage. We know you are not holding anything from us that we should know about at the due time.

And for any who are thinking "that's exactly what the GB has said to us for too many years. Wait until we decide we want to tell you something". That is NOT what is going on here at all.

When you say:

...that's good enough for those of us who understand the importance of this fact.

Please know that we support you and all your efforts and time spent doing all you can to help the victims of abusers and the WTS.
