I watched this film/semi-biased documentary last night and was very surprised at the many similarities it contained when compared to the JW's. Has anyone seen it yet? I don't want to give away what the detailed similarities are - you should just watch it for yourself. The parts I found eerily comparable were: The union "packages," use of genders in management, lawyers with unlimited money, the treatment of its "associates," the lawsuits brought against it and deceptively lying in court.

I believe I have just found which company the WTS tries to mold its business model after --- Wal Mart. Just watch it!!! You'll realize it's true!!

I shop at Costco. They pay their workers a better "package".

It's amazing how low they get paid at Walmart, and people apply to work in such a slavemarket. My relative that works there is a manager and gets paid low$$$$$$$$$$. He told me of a situation where an associate was fired for a minor curse (no tolerance).Warnings/writeups should work fine

The "package" I was referring to earlier wasn't about how they were paid. It referenced what Wal Mart corporate brings in when associates start speaking about union representation. I'll give you a hint: Elders going on a witch hunt at the request of the service desk.

if this has already been on TV, and the only way to see it is to buy the dvd, then I don't see why you can't fill us in. Its not top secret you know.

It hasn't been on TV. It was done on a limited release at the theaters(and still is being screened in some places) and is now out on DVD. I picked it up at the video rental store. I'd just rather let people watch it and see if they come to similar conclusions as I did.
