How could a woman be one of the "annointed?"

If women are supposed to be in subjection and not be spiritual shepherds in the Congregation, how can they be of the annointed to be kings and priests? How does the WTS justify either end of that argument?

Odrade, the thinking behind that is that neither brothers or sisters that are anointed will begin reigning as kings and priests until after they die, are resurrected as spirit creatures and go to heaven.

in the Christian Congregation. For those called by God to the heavenly calling (Heb 3:1) to be joint heirs with Jesus Christ, there is no distinction between men and women in a spiritual sense. The apostle writes: "You are all, in fact, sons of God through your faith in Christ . . . there is neither male nor female; for you are all one person in union with Christ Jesus." (Ga 3:26-28) These all must receive a change of nature at their resurrection, being made partakers together of "divine nature," in which state none will be women, for there is no female sex among spirit creatures, sex being God’s means for reproduction of earthly creatures.—2Pe 1:4

It is patently clear from the Scriptures that "there is no partiality with God" with regard to race or sex. (Romans 2:10, 11; Galatians 3:28) And this holds true also in the way Jehovah selects those who are to be associated with his Son in the Kingdom government. (John 6:44) How thankful the great crowd of other sheep can be that faithful women, such as Jesus’ mother Mary, Mary Magdalene, Priscilla, Tryphaena, Tryphosa, and a host of others in the early Christian congregation, now share in the Kingdom rule, enriching that government with their intimate understanding of the feelings and experiences of womenfolk!

Furthermore, God has lovingly drawn a sizable portion of these spiritual heirs with Christ from among women. As to their spiritual standing with God and Christ, there was "neither male nor female" while they were on earth, and in heaven there is no sex principle or distinction. (Gal. 3:28)

    Galatians 3
27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.
29 And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

    Colossians 3
10 And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:
11 Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.
    12 Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;

And of course this "classless, sexless" distinction, flies in the face of what was posted a few days ago, re the angels from heaven ( males ) coming down to earth to have sex with the women, and bearing the Nephilim.!!!!!

And if taken literally doesn't Rev. 14:4 indicate that only men constitute the 144,000?

I always thought that said angels took on the male sex when materializing bodies on earth; note none chose to become women. Why is that not a surprise?

Probably if taken out of context with the rest of the NT, Kenneson.

    Galatians 3:26-29 (NWT)

YOU are all, in fact, sons of God through YOUR faith in Christ Jesus. 27 For all of YOU who were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor freeman, there is neither male nor female; for YOU are all one [person] in union with Christ Jesus. 29 Moreover, if YOU belong to Christ, YOU are really Abraham’s seed, heirs with reference to a promise.

As to the angels coming down to earth, I always felt it was because they wanted to have children, to father their own nation to rule, something they could not do in heaven in their spirit form. Since men ruled, it made since they would take human male form.

    Good point.

It says "the sons of the true god .....began to notice that the daughters of men were 'good looking'....hense they came and took all they chose".

Intresting that ALL of the ones that rebelled had the same mindset........."become a man and take a woman"..... Why didn't it happen that "the daughters of the true god began to notice the sons of men were good looking and hence took all they chose"? Because angels are always refered to as men, so how could daughters "notice the men were good looking"?

The fact that the bible says "sons" rebelled, explains why these "sons" came to take earthly women for themselves. The bible is a jewish sexist book....period.

I always thought the Nephilim story could have been a true story from folklore that was really about aliens. LOL. Anyway, if I came to earth to take advantage of people in a sexual way, I guess I would choose to be a woman.
