Atlanta Apostofest?

  I'm suggesting that perhaps we might want to have an Apostofest in Atlanta either this spring before it gets too hot, or early fall before it gets cold and wet.

  There are plenty of venues in Atlanta that could be available. I'd suggest somewhere along the MARTA system so that if you didn't want to rent an auto you wouldn't have to.

  I would be willing to help with venue selection and room blocking and such.

  Perhaps you folks who just put on the Dallas meet could put together a list of things that worked for you and also things that you'd do different. Actually, we could continually update that document after each fest so that after several of them the document would become a really useful checklist for Apostofest organizers.

  Any help there?

  What about it? Shall we have an apostofest in Atlanta?

  The last time I was there, I tried to get something together about a month in advance. No dice. Where the hell are all the apostates in Atlanta?

  There is an excellent chance that I may be coming back down there on one of these dates:

  5/19 – 5/23 (this is the most likely date)

  7/28 – 8/01 (depends....75% chance)

  8/18 – 8/22 (so-so....30% chance)

  I can also extend my stay through either weekend at the beginning or at the end of those weeks.

  I can drive to Atlanta in about 6 hours from Central Florida (Orlando)... I was there a couple of months ago.

  Let me know the dates... I could probably make it... no problem.

  I am only about 4 hours north of Atlanta. Since I spend most of my day in a car anyways, this would be a breeze for me.

  I'm only about 2 hrs north of Atlanta. This would be great. I'd like to attend but I don't know if my husband would go ballistic (actually, I do know that he would).

  Can non-apostates attend? I was never baptized but I have to deal with this religion on a daily basis...
