  I put up a couple of dubs who were in town for the district convention.

  They gave me a copy of the new "book". They said on Sunday they would be instructed how to use the book. Rumor was that it might replace the Knowledge book?

  A quick scan of the table of contents seemed to indicate that possibility.

  I looked for the statement that "Jesus chose the org in 1919 because it had been providing proper and timely spiritual food" and found it noticeably absent.

  I spent an entire weekend fighting back the urge to laugh hysterically , not be condescending, and acting like I was engaged in rational conversations to bring you this information. I hope you are grateful. I sure am tired.

  Has anybody else heard any rumors? Has anyone else made any observations on the new publication?

  First, pick up the book. This will require the use of at least one hand.

  Then, with one hand on the front and one on the back, spread open the book, as if trying to break into two...warning...do not bend too far or it will break.

  With one hand, hold open the book, with the second flip the pages to either the table of contents(towards the front) or if you just want to get going, page one.

  Start reading.

  You may notice questions listed at the bottom of the page. These are review questions for the paragraphs above. With either a yellow hi-liter (for hi-ligting) or a ball point pen(for underlining) find the answer to the question in the paragraph and mark it with your pen. This will help you retain the information presented in the book. Do this again the night before the information is studied in your Congregation Book Study.

  You will also notice Bible scriptures in parenthesis behind some of the sentances and paragraphs. Look up these up in your copy of the Bible(to read a Bible use the same directions as before except you will need to know how to find book, chapter and verse. Jehovah's Witnesses will be glad to teach you this in a home bible study). This will show you that what we say came from the Bible.

  Undercover--but make sure when you do look up the scriptures cited, that you don't go 'beyond the WS' by reading the context of these scriptures to find out the real meaning.

  Yes...that is important, but that type of counsel is covered slowly, repetively and verbally at the halls and conventions so that the readers are not concerned that they are being coerced or brainwashed.

  It has been the observation of the publisher however, that most people are too lazy to even read the cited scripture, let alone read the surrounding verses to get the correct context, but we here at the WTS thank you for your input. Now go read your Watchtower.

  Those instructions are pretty tricky. I don't know if I could have come up with those on my own cuz I am such an Ethiopian Eunuch... um except for the eunich part...

  But anyway, I think the fact that you were able to come up with those instructions shows that you have been chosen by God. I think you ought to start a publishing company and say that anyone who does't agree with you is from Satan. And of course that is true, because to be against you is to be against God!!!

  yah I think it's more like God invisibly chose them in 1919. Invisibility being the key word here . Whith that kind of reasoning who's to say that the mormons weren't invisibly directed to pull messages out of a hat ?
