why does WTS keep printing in their literature that Jehovah will judge when in the gosple of John it clearly states that Christ will judge, and that judging was given to the Son by the Father?

"For the Father judges no one, but has committed all judgment to the Son," John 5:22

I didn't realize they claimed the Father to be the judge. Interesting....

I think that they put the emphasis on Jehovah on everything instead of Jesus. In many areas, they don't give Jesus much importance.

As a witness, we can't even say thank you to Jesus for anything. It is as if we are shunning Jesus.

    Jesus? My bad!!

Oh, I remember...the person who's death was hailed and celebrated once a year yet was not mentioned for the rest of the year?

As a matter of fact, I recall being told that if anyone approached you and said "Praise the Lord" or "Jesus is Lord", they were considered 'demonized' and you were to immediately run from them.

I always had the opinion that as a JW I was supposed to be somewhat "ashamed" of speaking about Jesus. Not mentioning him felt soooo unnatural.

I'm sure they'd explain thst since God appointed Jesus as judge, He in effect does the judging.

However, it seems to me to be another case of Jesus being overlooked, while the name Jehovah is over-used. JH makes a good point; Witnesses really can't say much to or about Jesus, it would seem.

yes the WTS could say that Jehovah judges thru Jesus 'cos he appointed him, but then they would be calling Jesus a liar "For the Father judges no one..."

I think they are trying to distance themselves from the "worldly" Christian religions. Just another way of setting themselves apart from the world. Otherwise they'd be Jesus Witnesses.

And this is the judgment, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one who does evil hates the light, and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed.

Technically, Jehovah judges no one perhaps because the Big Guy is busy with other stuff, like sales time slips, real estate, investments and making sure Chase Manhattan treats Him right.

Jesus Christ apparently is not as interested in the financial aspects of the business so he goes around slapping folks with a FDS ruler on Jehovahs behalf when things that might negatively affect prophetablility get out of hand .
