  Flip-flops can be beautiful -- our allies -- as they can be used to reveal evidence of the lack of spirit-direction which the Society so readily claims.
  
  The following link is to a 16 page essay that does just that but in a manner that I hope you'll find is objective and less vitriolic than is sometimes found. The revealing WT quotations are all, with the exception of one (from the 1879 launch of Zion’s Watch Tower), from the WT Library (2005) on CD. Skeptical JWs (interpret that to mean virtually all JWs) may somewhat appreciate this.
  
  If there is a favorite WT quotation within it is this one: "However, it may have seemed to some as though that path has not always gone straight forward. At times explanations given by Jehovah’s visible organization have shown adjustments, seemingly to previous points of view. But this has not actually been the case." The Watchtower, 1981, 12/1 p. 27

  I don't remember having to deal with but one flip-flop when I was a JW from 1977 and earlier -- that was the Superior Authorities issue. It was enough to cause one to think since a flip-flop, when you think about it, is a contradiction of major proportion. And contradictions of other religious groups are part of what fed our zeal when we went out in service. Generally, we only had that one, Superior Authorities, to soil our dirty linen.

  One Circuit Overseer told us it was all about our vision, that we should imagine that we're all traveling on a train where the Faithful Slave provides us with only the side windows to look through. "It's beautiful, isn't it? You're not able to look back or ahead yet you're happy with what you are seeing."

  He continued, "Looking backward at old teachings should be avoided as we continue our journey -- that's old light anyway. And there's certainly no reason to want to run ahead since there's plenty of countryside to look at while we pass it."

  For some reason that never gave me the warm fuzzy feeling about WT teaching reversals.

  I wonder if that is just to confuse people so they cannot think. Just think what happens if the Washtowel Society ever gains possession of everything on the planet. They could do this with everyday things like measurements (and you thought food and gas price hikes are bad now? At least the base units are stable now.) They could do that with everyday observations, telling people that common sense is wrong.

  Bad enough that they did that with doctrines that matter not to us. The organ transplant issue (and, more recently, blood fractions) did cost people their lives. But, if they get the chance, their bungling and flipflops are going to destroy civilization. Imagine not being able to get honest 8 foot lumber (or 2 1/2 meter, for those in metric countries). Or, imagine if you are trying to upgrade your computer memory. The pins are spaced differently, even though the nominal measurement is the same. Why? Because the Filthful and Disgraceful Slavebugger changed the base unit! What disasters they will cause then--effectively, part of the process of creating the Second Dark Ages (which they are already living in.)

  well if by allies you mean..."dead give-aways", then yes!...

  By relying on and following the "light" provided by previous "generations" the WBTS is practicing the conjuring of spirits...necromancy...Jehovah doesn't like that...and its got to STOP!!!
