Don't beat yourself up about this. Use it as a learning experience. I was in the WatchTower world for almost 25 years. I met some wonderful people in that time and have a beautiful 18 year old daughter that I would never have had. So I am sure you can find some good out of this. Read Franz second book In Searce of Christian Freedom and Steve Hassans book on Mind Control. Steve never mentions the J-duds but it made my blood run cold when I saw all the mind control techniques the Governing Body uses. A big one is the exit phobia that is installed on studies and newcomers. It is reinforced all the time in the Mags too. It states,"If you ever leave you are a hater of God and His Son and worst than a person who never knew,( though you will have the same fate), and every bad thing that happens to you after that is God punishing you for being so disloyal and in the end God will kill you!" If you were in any length of time you know what I am saying is true. Take your time, think on these things. You were not indoctrinated in a day, you won't deprogram yourself in one either. FYI Check out the Baptism Nullification letter in this forum. I will check it on you, write me. Maverick

WT's Worldwide Increase. What Does It Mean ?
by Explorer inregarding the wt's report for the period 2001 - 2002, i guess many here will agree the numbers seem to be coming back up again.
it was interesting to notice how the previous years many of the so called "developed" nations namely the u.s.a., canada, and many eu leading nations such as germany, the netherlands, britain, france, and so on actually reported decrease in their numbers.the only increase came back then from the called "under developing" nations.
this years there seems to be a very significant rebound to those negative figures.

Folks there are a lot of ways to "cook" the books. This obsession with numbers that people have is just a smokescreen. The Governing Body uses it to validate their stated claim of being Gods Earthly Channel. It is meaningless! Does God want quantity or quality? By way of an example let me use the Societys Headquarters. The buildings and facilities are quite impressive, and the GB use this as proof of Gods blessing on His Organization. But if I was a Catholic and wanted to show Gods blessing on my Church I would just have to take the person I want to impress to the Vatican and that person would be blown away! All this proves nothing! It is not surprising to me that authoritarian countries have good increases after they open up. These poor people have nothing to compare against. The WatchTower is mild by contrast to the governments they lived under! We who are free thinkers, who pride ourselves on independence are the ones who see the rigid unloving pharisees for what they are. FYI Check out the Baptism Nullification letter in this forum.Yours, Maverick

Has anyone considered the growth in numbers of the people who leave? The WatchTower Corporate drive out the free-thinking intelligent and artistic types. It is not unlike the plight of Europeans who fled to America two hundred years ago. The corporate does install exit phobias that mess up the minds of many but once you get over that the ones who leave are a force that the Corporate will have to watch out for. In time these ones could do real damage to the J-duds! Check out the Baptism Nullification letter in this forum.

Are there only two ways out of the WT World?
by Maverick inwe are told we can quit (dissassociate) or get kicked out ( dissfellowshipped), but are these the only options we have?
while you cannot stop people from acting a certain way around you there may be a way to take to power away from the society and give it back to the people who love you and know it their hearts that shunning in unloving.

Thank you-all for you imput, (I'm southern)! The illegitimate baptism was the first one, matey. As for legal action--- well, I have been instructed to pass on that question. I will say this, any legal action will be directed at the person or persons that make public pronouncements (which violate my rights as a private citizen), that my spies will record with those small digital recorders I bought them. I am working on wording such potential suits in such a way that if these slanders admit to being under the mind control of the "Corporation" I would drop any such alleged suits. I am sure that will give them a little heartburn! As for the fade away issue. I am sorry but I have a hard time reconciling that as an option in the same class as the other three. I see fade away as disassiociation de facto but not de jure. And the "Corporation" still looms over you like an outstanding warrant. But that is just my opinion. Please tell all your friends about this and let's all give them a little heartburn. It will be tough, as they have such small hearts. Yours, Maverick

While you cannot stop people from acting a certain way around you there may be a way to take to power away from the Society and give it back to the people who love you and know it their hearts that shunning in unloving. Check out the Baptism Nullification letter in the friends forum posted by Blackguard. I sent this letter to Brooklyn a month ago and my friends in the Hall said all is quiet. The letter is carefully worded to avoid libeling The Governing Body but renders them powerless to respond lest they be guilty of violating the rights of a non-member! Also if a Witness is "caught" associating with an unbaptized person the Elders cannot officially punish that Witness. They have to be very careful what they say and to whom they say it lest they be guilty of slandering a non-member. I also sent out copies of this letter to all the Witnesses I knew everywhere the next day. The only people I did not sent a copy to were the P.O. and C.O. as I do not recognize their corporate hierarchy. This way the local "Brothers" could not "Contain" this quietly and use the gossip mill against me. At least all the people who knew me would have an accurate statement to go from and not some twisted version put out by the Elders wives network. Of course I am now the worst Apostate in the history of the county but I already have people secretly communicating with me in agreement with the things I stated. I also talked to a neighbor about baptizing me in his pool that same weekend and documented it as I am stating that my baptism was illegitimate! My legal people tell me the Society will most likely lay-low and let this blow over but I do not plan to go quietly into the night. My goal is to force them to get out their scripture bender and strecher and twist up something interesting in a WatchTower study article. Yours at the Front, Maverick

Disassociating myself ...
by dedalus inwell, it had to come to this eventually.. this winter my wife and daughter and i celebrated christmas with my in-laws, with whom we currently live (high school english teachers don't make much money!).
my in-laws have been inactive for about two years, and this year, they decided to celebrate the holidays.
one reason for this is that their son, who is eight, has multiple disabilities -- can't see, trouble hearing, other, quite sever, issues -- and christmas, with its presents and wrapping and loud carols and trees and wreaths is, well, a very accessible experience for him, the way, say, my kingdom ministry and the watchtower are not.. well, as a household we went all out.

I am sorry for the pain you have suffered by the unloving, thoughtless way you were treated. The True God and His Son do not approve of this lack of love. But are there only two ways out of the WatchTower world? Check out the Baptism Nullification letter on the friends forum. The advantage of this option is that any "thinking Witnesses" caught associating with you cannot be officially punished. And the pharisee have to be very careful as to what they say and to whom they say it, lest they set themselves up for a slander lawsuit.

WTS Says Faith Should Not be in an Organization?
by blondie inthe hypocrisy of the wts knows no bounds
most jws would say, "but we have faith in jehovah, jesus and the bible, not in men.
" yet in many places the wts does demand jws to have faith.

This is a good point. Along with this line of reasoning; Are there only two ways out of the WatchTower world? Just because they say there are doen't make it so. Check out the Baptism Nullification letter posted by Blackguard under friends. This letter was carefully worded using the approach that the WatchTower is a corporation and inserts loyalty to it as loyalty to God and that this invalidates the baptism.

The WBTS is NOT "God's Organisation"!

does the wbts make mistakes?

Because the WatchTower Corporation takes the position of being the sole channel of Gods Holy Spirit on Earth today this can work to the advantage of any who "wise-up" and want out. Are there only two ways out of the WatchTower world? Just because they say there are does not make it so! Check out the Baptism Nullification letter in this forum. It is carefully worded to take the power and control away from the pharisees and put them in a postion of not rendering any official position without opening themselves to a lawsuit for slander.

My son's letter of disassociation
by Titanic inmy son (18) has given his letter of disassociation to the elders , and it will be announced tomorrow night.i disassociated myself last year but i have never encouraged my son to do so.
he has not done it earlier for personal reasons, though he would have liked to as he really hates them even more than me, and believe me he has very good reasons.
my son was one of the most active young ones in the congregation..he gave so much for this organization...so it was unbelievable the way he was treated in time of test.what an example of ungratefulness and a total lack of love on the part of the jw.

It is too bad your son felt the need to use that option to leave. The Society will still get the last lick in, by "kicking him out". If the pharisees spent half the time looking after and showing love to the flock that they spend forming committees they might do a little good. But their actions show where their hearts are. But are there only two ways out of the WatchTower world? Just because they say there are doesn't make it so. Check out the Baptism Nullification letter in this forum. The letter is carefully worded to take the stick out of their hands and the power away from them. And if they are not careful they leave themselves open to a slander lawsuit. Maverick
