Letter witnessing would be an excellent option for the Society as long as all replies went to the PO or Secretary of the Hall and not back to the pedophile.
It would be a way out for them.

They got called into Bethel around 1994. Immediately put to work in the service department and later on he was assigned to work with Public Relaitons
Not sure if he was appointed as PO when they moved to their congregation but it wouldn't surprise me if he did.

I am somewhat overwhelmed.
The accounting of the berry sisters and the terrible situation experienced by Mike, gawd it was heartbreaking.
Overall I think it was by far the best accounting of the issue and I loved that one of the last points made was that there are pedophiles in the congregation, there are pedophiles going door to door in communities across Canada knocking on doors on Saturday & Sunday mornings. That'll get the attention of the public...I hope.
I am (for the most part) happy with the way the CBC dealt with this issue.
I look forward to hearing everyone else's opinions on it.

i just want to pass a message along that if anyone watches cbc's "the fifth estate" on wednesday, january 22, 2003 (that's this wednesday night), they should see a promotion for the upcoming jehovah's witness child abuse show at 9:00pm, next wednesday, january 29, 2003.. the promotion should be aired at or near the end of the show - around 9:50 to 9:55 pm on january 22.

I would ask you hold off on doing any promotional campaigns until hearing from Hawkaw. He has been coordinating that end of things. I also know that the CBC is doing their own promotion and we don't want to run crossways to their efforts either. Jsut wait till morning and see what hawk has to say on this.
I like the idea but as mentioned it might run contrary to other campaigns already in place.

It starts off with Mike Moss a survivor of abuse who when he reported it to the elders and was brought before a committee for participating in a homosexual act, despite it being non-consensual
Then a clip of Bill and his now famous Dateline tape recording, then some guy silhouetted out stating " I will most likely be disfellowshipped for doing this and will be shunned" (This must be a Canadian whistle blower)
and then a scene from the SL march, very distinct was heard the chant, no more pedophiles at my door
