An Unbeliever's Guide to Believing the Bible
by thinker injws believe the bible is god's word and that every word in it comes from god.
it's a waste of time to try to disprove the bible based on science or any source outside the bible, because they just don't stand up to something someone believes came from god himself.
so i've decided to use all that i've learned from jws about the bible to show them that they can't trust everything in the bible.

DID YOU KNOW THIS about the BIBLE?
by Terry inthe oldest manuscripts are not considered the most reliable.. there are no "autograph" texts.
none.. there are no "original" manuscripts.. no two manuscripts agree.. the bible as we know it only came together in the form it now holds because certain men decided it should do so.. neither jesus nor his apostles or disciples carried bibles.. the apostle paul didn't carry a bible and none of his letters were in any of the scrolls considered holy scripture at the time he was preaching and forming christian theology as it is now understood to be.. largely, what the bible is today, is the result of certain men with certain agendas who had the authority to make their project happen.
they also had the power to destroy writings which did not agree with their agenda.

Matthew 24:14 and Preaching in the First Century
by Leolaia inthe eschatological discourse in matthew 24 (derived from mark 13 and paralleled in luke 21) concerns the destruction of jerusalem and what was to shortly follow it.
mark presents both the jerusalem invasion and the coming of the son of man in judgment as closely connected, which reflects the time when the gospel was likely written (i.e.
shortly before or after ad 70).

Grounds for divorce.
by Norm indivorce has always been a tricky thing in the watchtower world and has been subject of many articles in the literature.
for a year - from january 1972 until december the same year, "christian" husbands could technically screw anything with a pulse in the animal world without giving his spouse a "biblical" reason to divorce him.
the only thing he had to be careful about if having sex with humans - men or women was to use the "rear entrance".

How to make a covenant with God.
by thinker infor those who want to see it from the bible, here is how to make a covenant with god; followed by the 'plain english' translation... ge15:9 and he said unto him, take me an heifer of three years old, and a she goat of three years old, and a ram of three years old, and a turtledove, and a young pigeon.
ge15:10 and he took unto him all these, and divided them in the midst, and laid each piece one against another: but the birds divided he not.
ge15:11 and when the fowls came down upon the carcases, abram drove them away.

New here...(my story and a request for help)
by stephaniesays ini was raised in the organization.
my stepfather was a ministerial servant but was removed when i was 14, due to family problems, which he blamed on me (he was abusive, physically, and was told that if he cannot control his family, he could not be an example to the congregation).
i became pregnant at 15 and have not really lived around my family since then.
