Jehovah's Witnesses 'a cruel cult'
by biometrics infrom a local newspaper site in australia:.
christian sect the jehovah's witnesses - with 64,000 active 'disciples' in australia - are a cruel religion with no soul, according to melbourne cultbuster raphael aron.. his warning comes as the federal government considers tightening the definition of a charity to prevent some cults and quasi-religions keeping their tax free status.
independent senator nick xenophon has renewed calls for a national cult-busting agency.. mr aron, a psychologist, counsellor and director of melbourne's cult counselling australia, said the jehovah's witnesses had a policy of "shunning" members who left or wanted to leave by cutting them off from family members who remained.. "i am still waiting for a justification for someone to be able to rip away a five or six year old child from their extended family because mum or dad have decided to leave the jehovah's witnesses," he said.. advertisementformer members say shunning can involve bullying, threats, harassment and stalking to lure the 'apostate', or lapsed member, back.

Anyone here drunk the wine or ate the bread at the Memorial?
by biometrics inafter being put under a lot of pressure by family and ex-friends to attend the memorial this year (i didn't).
i'm thinking of attending next year and drinking the wine and eating the bread.
because i beleive the whole memorial to be a rejection of christ ceremony.. i'm prepared to receive a lot of weird death stare looks.. has anyone here ever partaken?

Are you now ashamed of how gullible you were as a JW?
by biometrics innow that you realise how idiotic some of the jw beliefs are/were, do you feel ashamed of how gullible you were to believe them?.
if anything my past as an adult jw makes me understand how easily manipulated people are by the people and environment around them.
and that even intelligent people can be influenced beyond what is rational..

Afterlife - why would Satan promote it?
by biometrics inso the watchtower says that the afterlife is purely an invention of satan, because of the 'you won't die' lie told to eve.
(even though the bible is littered with afterlife talk e.g.
luke 16:19-31, matthew 10:28, matthew 25:46, revelation 21:8,revelation 6:9-11, luke 23:43, john 3:16 ).

jw.org - Terms and Conditions
by biometrics indoes anyone else find it ironic that the watchtower places literature on the internet, encourage people to download and share it, but then warns no to post it on the internet?
isn't posting on the internet the no.1 method of sharing information in this day and age?
and what, exactly, constitutes "posting on the internet".. in their terms and conditions:.
