under_believer: If you keep in mind what motivates her to have these conversations with you is she believes it's the only way to keep from being destroyed, then you will be better able to control the situation and let thngs go. I have a big mouth and can completely relate to some of your thoughts. Maybe ask her what is greater God's love or his justice. If she says justice tehn point out the pitiful state of the world/mankind, the suffering and the thousands of years it has been going on. If she says love then she makes your point. Besides nobody earns salvation. Even the "loyal" recieve God's undeserved kindness. Hope this helps.

I really enjoyed your thoughts on this NC. My daughter was about 5 or 6 when she asked me why I dont go to meetings anymore. I just told her that I who Jehovah is and jsut because I dont go to meetings doesnt mean I dont love Him. I also told her how people treat each other is more important them what thye believe. How this helps.

protecting your children involves teaching them, empowering them, and teach them to protect themselves. It is dangerous to teach them to trust adults automatically. show them that respecting adults is not the same thing as trusting adults.

i get to work, turn on my computer and right away open a tab for jwn, and scan through all the new topics and updates on other interesting ones.

then i leave that tab open all day long to look at the threads when i have time.

then i go home... and read crisis of conscience!.

there was quite a debate on another post about the increase/decrease throughout the wt history surrounding 1975 and subsequent time periods when ther have been major adjustments in doctrine.

it was said that the stasticis from 1965-1985 do not reflect a massive defection, despite the failure of the wt's prophecy for the end of the wicked system of things by 1975. .

i see the overlapping generation as another potention issue to cause fallout.

we received an email from an old friend who is still an elder and doesn't know what we are up to.

"a change, they are no longer training missionaries and sending them into foreign fields.

cameo-d, How is it that you are aware of the fact that armageddon is in progress? Nobody is supposed to know the day or the hour but you know it is in progress. And if you are going to refer to biblical events such as the flood are you saying nobody noticed the rain.

IF you have been DF'd recently.............i want to know.....

do they tell you "legal requirements" of a df'd behavior?

like, you cant talk to anyone, if we hear of you talking to other members it will hurt your reinstatement, do they tell you to come late and leave early, do they tell you how to be reinstated, what kinds of things if any are covered after you are told you are being df'd????

do they tell you their basis (loose scriptural right) to take this action?

I was DF in 06. They told me to come to the meetings but not speak to anyone. And they said to sit in the back. They also told me if I want my letter to be seriously considered not to turn it in too soon. It had to be like 9 months or a year. They meet with me one time and DF me. I was determined to come back but once I saw the other side of witness I was...well, disillusioned. I have not been back since. It is what it is!
