Who officiates JW weddings?
by greenie inif two jws were in great standing and getting married in a kingdom hall, who would officiate their wedding?
could an elder do the whole thing, or would a justice of the peace have to do part with the talk from the elder?.

"Spirituality" Part of JW Jargon?
by greenie inthis is something i've heard lately.
i have a feeling like other seemingly innocuous words, that this one actually has special meaning in jw speak.
or am i wrong?

Conscience Matters
by greenie inhas anyone ever compiled a list of things that are now conscience matters for jws?
if not, do you guys know what things are currently considered conscience matters?
is the list too long or obscure so that this is a bad question?

What did the Bible mean re: worldliness?
by greenie inthis topic was broached in another thread (http://www.jehovahs-witness.net/watchtower/beliefs/184175/1/please-help-re-objections-to-thanksgiving) and i was interested in expanding more on it.
i am no bible scholar and view the bible as - gasp - more of a guidebook than literal one, but my impression has always been that the worldy bunch involved non-christians (personally i'd say non-religious ones, no offense anyone!
)or pseudo religious ones that were unethical and/or immoral.

The Eucharist
by greenie inso i was reading on the watchtower's site about the eucharist (i was actually trying to find out what they say about thanksgiving, the u.s. holiday) and i got to the beginning of their explanation on who should partake in communion.
primarily, though, the lords evening meal is a communion meal.
by partaking of the bread and wine, the latter show that they are fully united with christ.

What made you think?
by greenie ini know this topic has been covered, so feel free to ignore me or point me to another post for your response, but i'm just curious: what made you first think the jws didn't have it all?
what it a slow process or like a lightening strike?.
for me, a non-jw, it was like a lightening strike when i started reading about the blood issue..
