Yes, I was serious. I was seriously there for filming and I seriously don’t want my face in that video. Granted, I’m not sure how much trouble I am willing to go through in order to get it removed but I am definitely willing to email and make some calls and see what can be done. Especially if they are threatening someone else. Again, I have not seen the video. All I have been told by multiple people is that I am in the video for sure when they are showing a clip of Seth’s congregation singing. I’m not sure if I am in any other clips. I was there for that meeting, for a meeting for field service that they filmed and for a get together at Seth’s house on another occasion that they came to. I knew they would be filming at the get together that I went to but never signed any agreements. I knew they would be coming to meetings but I didn’t know which ones.

so i get an email from one of the knocking directors threatening legal action over an alleged copyright infringement in the watchtower comments videos.

Could I ask them to remove the five-second clip of me singing in the KH and any other clips in which I appear from future copies of the DVD?

I never signed anything consenting to be in the film. Although I did show up at the KH and another location in which they happened to be filming at the time so it might be considered implied consent if there is such a thing.

I doubt I can do anything about it. However, I have had a few people come up to me and tell me they saw me on PBS in a documentary about my religion. At least I got to tell them why I was no longer a part of it anymore.

Hello All! Long story short, I have been DF’d for 2 or 3 years. I have not really been counting. Best 2-3 years of my life. Raised a JW, fourth generation. Father is an elder, mom and step mom are pioneers, brother is MS and the list goes on. (I’m actually in the background of a part of the Knocking documentary that is out. I have not seen it but I hear that I am anyway.)

Ever so often I get stupid JW emails sent from my grandfather. Usually I just ignore them but as I am feeling feisty today I was wondering what smart a** comments I can make in response to this one….
