Putting Something Back Into Society Now You're Out
by Englishman ini saw the film "pay it forward" some weeks ago.
now, whilst most of us stoical brits will snort somewhat at the emotional hokum, nonetheless the movie featured many salient points, not least the theory that humankind needs to put something back into society if it is to retain it's own sense of worth.. as it happens, i agree with that theory.
also, since leaving the jw's, i find that i have much more concern for the welfare of my fellow man than i used to have.

Anyone Here Lost Their Inheritance To The WT?
by Englishman ini have.. i hadn't even realised it until i had a conversation with my brother last summer.
our dad was a proffesional man who could command a good income whilst he worked.
trouble is, that he would listen to all the 1975 "end of the system" nonesense and then become motivated to serve where the need was great.

Should We Send Our Firefighters To Iraq?
by Englishman injust wondering.
tomorrow is the day that the firemen strike again, having still not resolved a pay and productivity agreement.
once again, the army boys are manning the fire appliances, so's the firemen can strike without there being too much risk to the public.. in view of the fact that the uk is sending one-quarter of it's armed forces in the direction of iraq, can we assume therefore that the firemen will be returning the favour by manning the hundreds of tanks and guns that are also to be deployed out there?.

Is YOUR Conscience A Reliable Guide For Living?
by Englishman inno, its is most certainly not a reliable guide!.
well, according to the wtbts it's not, anyway.. back in my witnessy days, the public talk entitled: "is your conscience a reliable guide for living?
" majored on man's totally inability to do anything remotely good of his own accord.
