JoinedHi, born in, 3rd generation on both sides. dad was an elder. The family left the org for a period of time. I was 21 at that time. Now my parents and one sister and her family are still active, plus all my extended family. I thought I was over the org for many years, read books on cults, witnesses etc when I first left and knew there was a lot wrong with the organisation, but at times I felt that there was still elements of truth in it. However I did not want my kids to go through the same struggle I had. I found this site by chance and was blown away by the support network, read lots of profiles and personal stories. Discovered many lies, cover-ups and compounding errors in what I once belived was the truth.
