Here is a link to just one article, discussing the upcoming HBO documentary on Scientology.

It is said to be based upon the book, "Going Clear: Scientology, Hollywood, and the Prison of Belief."

It will begin airing on HBO, starting March 16, 2015. It is also scheduled to be part of the Sundance Film Festival, before that date.

I just went to Amazon, and ordered the book. It looks like interesting reading.

Not surprisingly, the "Church" is firing back, with attack ads and accusations, before the film is even released.

Here is a link to the NY Post article,"Church of Scientology to Launch Attack on HBO Documentary."

I have not seen any of their TV ads, but the Scientology website (www.scientology.org) bears a strange resemblance to JW.org, and also claims to contain "everything you need to know about the religion of Scientology."

There are a lot of similarities between these two organizations!

the film also details Hubbard’s cosmology: where an evil alien overlord named Xenu brought billions of people to Earth 75 million years ago. The bodies were dropped into volcanoes and their spirits, known as thetans, are believed to attach to humans even today.

It's really an amazing example of how easy it is to manipulate and control people.

Science fiction writer creates a new religion.  Only in America.

It's amazing the crazy stupid that some people are willing to believe and shows how it can be pointless trying to convince a believer that their version of reality makes no sense. There is no basis to even start the discussion - it is not based on any facts or observations, just a completely blind belief in a story.

The more preposterous the story the more appealing it is to some. There's a crazy story to satisfy everyone's belief-level.

That is a great quote and so very accurate.

Faith - blind belief in the incredible.
