I know this questions has been asked many times before. This seems to answer it. Although some may question the articles credibility. I do not find it too difficult since one of the elders in my congo used to be sent around as a CO rep and has travel internationally on behalf of the WT and he claims to have done so in first class.

Lloyd may have been accused of narcissism and sloppy handling of personal data, but I think his reporting credibility is well established by the record. If I got it wrong, please correct me.
If the CO's are treated like rock stars...the GB must be treated like Gods. Nothing but the best for the Golden Seven. The beauty of it all...they won't do any of it with any of our money. We are using our money to enjoy the life we have today.

Without a receipt showing the watchtower paid 9000 for the flight this is all speculation.
Honestly, Could the tickets have been purchased by a friend or family? yes....
A copy of the receipt would have proven who paid for the tickets. I prefer to see proof over statements making assumptions about where the money came from.
