Not much growth in publishers in Jamaica since at least 1998. In that year, there was a peak of 11,003 publishers, while last year there was a peak of 11,991 - which was a -1 decrease over 2014.
Memorial numbers showed greater growth: In 1998, 28,063 attended but in 2015, 37,111 did so.
We are continuing to witness Jehovah's chariot slamming into reverse.

Well, this is the same god who couldn't defeat a tribe due to their " chariots with IRON RIMMED WHEELS" Judges 1:19!!!!
It's doubtful the discrepancy between the number of JWs cited in the article and the actual "official" number is due to the former being based on census data. There is no land on earth in which census data would be four plus times the actual number of JWs (4 x 12,000).
In New Zealand, where peak publishers have hovered around 14,000 for years, the latest census data recorded just over 17,000 JWs - which obviously includes babies and inactive ones who still identify as JWs.

Interesting disclosure - probably not from an officially assigned spokesperson! This could in part explain how the peak number of JWs in Jamaica has not grown much from 1998 until the present.
