Missing children: Is this a national crisis?

In our series "Missing in America," Connie examines why one abducted child makes headlines while others are never reported. Is this a national crisis? And meet Maureen Kanka, whose 7-year-old daughter, Megan, was abducted, raped and murdered by a neighbor who was also a convicted sex offender. Kanka began a grass-roots campaign that eventually forced all 50 states to enact Megan's Law, a statute requiring such convicted sex offenders to register in their communities. Also, we'll talk to William Bowden, the founder of Silentlambs, a non-profit, self-help group for men and women who claim they were molested by Jehovah's Witnesses. Does the church try to keep such abuses quiet?

Bill's story should be like a typical Today or GMA show story in the morning.

Somewhere between 5 to 10 minutes - long.

But that's what we want people. These "extra" long TV news stories allow the victims and the advocates to fire off some good one liners in a live format that is longer than the typical 30 seconds you get on the news.

Bill's story would get re-scheduled if there is a major disaster or Bush does something stupid and invades Iraq etc.

Other than that he will be on.

One other thing and more importantly are the victims. They look good for the TV and they can speak. They are the ones more than Bill that will carry this show just like Panorama and Dateline. Put either lady on from Minnesota and just let them go. If it works people watching are gonna get pi$$ed and that is what we want!!!! Outrage to force change!!!!!

    Please note what Bill said.

Yes there is the story tonight but also Connie is likely doing a second segment.

    Like helloooooooooooo

2 nights in a row on the Clinton News Network.

This just keeps getting better by the second.

Remember CNN reaches 7 million more cable residences than Fox and Connie averages anywhere from 750 thousand to 1.5 million people.

I like the idea of her doing the kidnapped girl story tonight That should get more viewers and hopefully they will stay around for the JW story.

If any one is watching CNN please alert us if they are doing Connie promos wrt to the JW abuse scandal.

Her show (CCT) is, of course, promoting the show for tonite, yet not Bill's 'piece'. Only the top story is being promo-ed.

Remember to watch again tomorrow FOR EMAILS SENT IN BY VIEWERS of that 'piece'.

Hawkaw, were you able to address my needs yesterday?
