Changing your profile name

Quick question - is it pssible to change your profile name?

Name changes may be a possibility with the new membership system but will likely be a one-time feature (i.e. you get 1 change).

I was once a member of a forum that allowed unlimited name changes. It was a terrible feature. You never knew who you were talking to from one week to the next.

I can see the potential with this group especially. How many times have we seen a poster start out as "Disillusioned and Alone" to become "Awakened and Empowered"?

It could get confusing. But I agree with jgnat. I'm fine with mine. But I could see how some others might want to move toward something that reflects their new lives. I wonder if it would be possible to have their previous profile name(s) in the area under post count or something like that for continuity?

Maybe simon can do something similar to what ebay does when you change your name, the old name stays on next to your new one for 30 days...
