I'm about to start either a book of Dashiell Hammett short stories, or "Farewell My Lovely" by Raymond Chandler. Just finished "A Conspiracy of Paper", by David Liss. I am LOVING that author.

The Alchemist. Recently finished "A Gypsy Boy" and "A Stolen Life". Both heart wrenching tales of the loss of innocence of children and sickening abuse. Both true and each author seems to have moved on and made peace, to the extent that they can, with their past.
Next on the list are "Animal Farm" and "Cobatting Cult Mind Control".

True. "Two Towns In Provence" and "Live Your Dash" are also calling me. I've always loved reading, just on an information quest right now. I'm studying to take an exam, but that is some dry reading.
