As long as the global rain forests are being eliminated the global temperatures are bound to rise- and the expansion of arid lands will accelerate. The unabated increase in human population will reach a tipping point soon- hungry people don't respect borders, either.

That is a good article. Whether or not global warming is a reality, green energy needs to be addressed, due to fossil fuels being limited.

Moshe, regarding population growth, http://www.ted.com/talks/hans_rosling_religions_and_babies.html has a great talk, in which it is predicted the population will cap at 10 billion. It shows that it is not religion, but education, health and wealth that bring down birth rates.

    "Flawed science"? Huh?

Uh, just because the World isn't getting WARMER, but has plateaued at a higher temp, doesn't mean that global climate change isn't happening? Is that the assumption?

    As the article states:

So let’s be clear. Yes: global warming is real, and some of it at least has been caused by the CO2 emitted by fossil fuels. But the evidence is beginning to suggest that it may be happening much slower than the catastrophists have claimed – a conclusion with enormous policy implications.

And being that we've already made efforts to reduce CO2 emissions, you'd think that report should be taken as GOOD news, and not used as an excuse to continue with mitigation efforts.

Global Warming deniers need only go to Greenland and tell them it's not real: in fact, they've already experienced profound changes in their environment which have profoundly impacted their industries (fishing and mining). Fishing got decimated, but the disappearance of glaciers has exposed rare earth mineral deposits under the ice which means there's opportunity:

This is a real-time, real-World example of how climate change means cultural and industrial change, with winners and losers.

Not so much that science is flawed, but that even men in white coats can lie and decieve.

A few years back when the leading global warming alarmists and Universities were exposed as fiddling the figures to get the gullible to belive in global warming and therefore pay higher taxes, I suggested to one of the Members of Parliament that instead of trying to get people to lead greener lives by deicieving them with "man made global warming", they should promote the real and true issues of pollution and how man is ruining the planet in other ways in order to arrive at the same agenda, but without putting people off by deicieving them.

I guess though that most of the ruination of the planet is done by the multinational companies like BP and whoever it is that is still cutting down the rain forests, by getting is to belive in global warming, they can also get us to belive its our fault, that its our day to day living activities that are what is ruining the planet whilst the elite can carry on thier destruction unhindered.

Check out the Met Office response http://metofficenews.wordpress.com/

The Daily Mail is possibly the worst newspaper after The Sun for poor journalism.

    Cue 10 pages...

Yeah, Konceptual; stunningly bad journalism, even by tabloid standards.... It's like the Enquirer, another of Rupert Murdoch's creations.

Here's a photographer who's documented the glacier ice melts, who was a GWD before he started:

Science made simple: It is known that the earth has it's various global extremes. It get's very cold and the glaciers cometh and coverth the land, then it warms up again and the glaciers retreat. Humans are insignificant when nature has her way and we will either adjust a significant amount (evolve) and survive or we won't. If we get wiped out, we get wiped out and then the whole circle of life will start again *done and dusted*
