I have no idea why this song came into my consciousness just now, but....
Why wouldn't a "Christian" know The Way? Isn't that what Jesus (the Christ) spent his public life teaching???

To know Jesus of Nazareth is to know the way you ought to go.
What's troubling me is how we could have sung that without questioning!
Why *wouldn't* a Christian known the way to go? Because they hadn't meet up with Watchtower yet???
All those years "in" and never gave a thought to the meaning of what I was singing.

I (we) bought it, lock-stock-barrel.
But, is "the way a Christian ought to go" actually the best way? Is it in the best interests of the Christian, or the church? Or, perhaps a globalist group (United Council of Churches) that benefits when a Christian goes the way they "ought" to.
As for me, the way I decided I "ought" to go is right to Father Satan. At least no Christian, Jewish, or Muslim denomination is going to benefit in any way from that.
