Songs that reflect who you are, where you've been, and where you'd like to be. Leave a note as to why the song reflects your life. Thanx.

Ever changing times by Aretha Franklin and Michael Mac Donald. Time creeps up at first than rapidly overtakes us. It's been that way the first, though. Answers will become available when we need them. God is still good. All the time.

Today by Larry Grahm, brother Grahm to many of us, here, discussed marriage and its often eventual trappings of distance, lonliness and the pain of the Hornymoon being OVER!!! Music is the only love as described in his song. The only thing that keeps your own life alive. Been there, done that, wearing that same T-Shirt. Now my Bass (guitar) don't play with nobody but me!!!

The Stone, Dave Matthews, (acoustic version)

Just listen to the lyrics, it pretty much sums how I felt right up to and subsequently after the point I left my family and the cult in search of my own individuality, freedom and life.

EDIT: Argh, I'm so frustrated (and apparently, technically inept); I simply cannot for the life of me embed a YouTube video here. In case anyone can point out what I'm doing wrong here is what I did: a) found the video on YouTube b) 'clicked' the share tab c) right-mouse-clicked, copied the URL d) returned to JWN page e) right-mouse-clicked, pasted the copied URL into the text box f) highlighted the newly pasted URL and selected the "Insert/Edit Link" [chain icon] from the editing toolbar. Then....nothing, what am I doing wrong, can anyone help me?

I have posted music on here before, and I think there's a lot people that have donde so over some sort of social website. But I've wondered, does anybody even take the time to listen to the videos? lol I know I don't.

I do if I haven't heard the song before!

NomadSoul, I do (listen to the music that is) most often in cases where I'm not familiar with the song -- if I know the song really well already then, I don't have to view it again to get the 'point' of their post.

    I've this creeping
Suspicion that things here are not as they seem
    Reassure me
Why do I feel as if I'm in too deep?
    Now I've been praying
For some way to show them
    I'm not what they see
    Yes, I have done wrong
But what I did I thought needed be done
    I swear

    Oh, Unholy day
If I leave now I might get away
Oh, but this weighs on me
As heavy as stone and as blue as I go
I was just wondering if you'd come along
Hold up my head when my head won't hold on
I'll do the same if the same's what you want
    But if not I'll go
    I will go alone
    I'm a long way
    From that fool's mistake
    And now forever pay
    No, run
I will run and I'll be ok
I was just wondering if you'd come along
Hold up my head when my head won't hold on
I'll do the same if the same's what you want
    But if not I'll go
    I will go alone
    I go a long way
To bury the past for I don't want to pay
    Oh, how I wish this
To turn back the clock and do over again
Now I'm just wondering if you'd come along
Hold up my head when my head won't hold on
I'll do the same if the same's what you want
    But if not I'll go
    I will go alone

    I need so
To stay in your arms, see you smile, hold you close
And oh it weighs on me
As heavy as stone and of bone chilling cold
I was just wondering if you'd come along
    Tell me you will.

Prophecor, you're the best -- thank you so much !! That song just really sums it all up for me and I thank you for including the lyrics as well.
