I consider the transition period beginning in 1999 with four new GB appointments, all of whom had served as "helpers" on GB committees. Another big step came in 2005 with two more additional members. Then, when Ted Jaracz and John Barr died last year the transition was complete. You might call the early 21st century the GB 1.1 period, then from 2005 to 2010 the GB 1.2 period.
