Does this negate creation?

    HI

As we all have an immune system, we must have inherited this from previous generations. Therefore, Adam and Eve must have had an immune system if we were created. If that is the case, why? They were created perfect and would not have had need for protection from infectious disease, as they were to live forever. So, does the fact that we have an immune system negate the possibility of creation?

chukky: i would say no. basically, without a lot of germs the biosphere everything would come apart in no time, plus we have germs in our guts, mouths, etc. which are essential for functioning. these all need to be balanced by an immune system.

ofcourse, it should be clear that the various infectious diseases couldnt have been created by God (it would make no sence) and had to have evolved, and perhaps more telling, the fact our genomen is full of retroviral insertions indicate this has been going on for some time. furthermore, that the insertions carefully follow the branching pattern of the tree of life strongly indicate the insertions has happened simultaneous with the evolutionary process.

The first and foremost job of our body's immune system is to protect us from our OWN body's waste products. If we suddenly were without immune system we would probably be dead within 24 hrs. from our OWN E-coil. Adam and Eve would have had perfect immune systems. Germs and bacteria are part of normal life.
