Yes, I apologize. Was watching this on CBC.
Typical Canadian. That is to say, we're Human Beings (hey Tal and Simon).
So, a plane crash lands (uh, hard lands ??? ).
No question, everyone is naturally in panic mode - get me the F out of here.
Mr. Earle says to himself, not out of, "Geez, if I do this, if I help this person with their groceries, if I shovel their sidewalk while in service, blah, blah, blah." says, not, this person who has lived long enough, but, THIS IS A HUMAN BEING, who needs help, and does what a fellow human being does what is needed.
We are fellow human beings.

Thank you for posting this. I re-posted it on my Facebook page, with introductory comments like "What is this man's religion? Does he even have one? ... Does it even matter?"
We'll see if I get "unfriended" by anyone. I doubt it. But if I do, then they weren't really friend material anyway.
