A recent thread mentions the following link to download the above-mentioned publications. At 530 MB size, that is a sizeable download on my slow connection. I'd like to do it but only if the documents are text-searchable.

I strongly suggest you download by file and not entire torrent.......
As a trial download I selected the Aug 21, 1940, Consolation. As a result, I confirmed that it (and, I assume the rest) are not text-searchable -- my original goal.
