    Good one Donny!

What a stupid religion - so damned bent on numbers. It's like a sickness... and to think that they believe you need the 'holy spirit' to understand the hand-fed pablum that a three-year old could understand in their botchtowers, LOL.

Unfortunately the WTS can change anything and the flock will follow. The main problem the WTS has is in lengthening the generation's time and yet keep the urgency of the end being right around the corner.

Even if the number surpasses 144,000 they will have "new light" that will explain it.

Let me steal Donny's idea with a different way to do it.

Yes, we have said that 144,000 is a literal number and we maintain this. But don't forget about the Biblical rule of "a day for a year" that helped us understand that Jesus appeared invisibly in 1914. Evidently, Revelation has a similar rule of "an anointed one for each tribe." Revelation has twelve tribes so we must multiply 144,000 by twelve.

Oh the fatigue of ever changing pronouncements and erroneous interpretations, how long must this go on!

The more I think about this, the more irritated I get.

They are taking a simple word and making it into such confusing dogma.

When i was younger, we were very proud of a family photo we had of 4 generations:

My grandmother, aunt, cousin, and her daughter.

    When speaking of history:

    My grandmother's generation was WWII-era.

    My aunt's generation was Vietnam-era.

    My cousin's generation was the Reagan-era 1980's....etc,etc.......

Since when does a generation span CENTURIES?????

    Just Wondering!

You know what it all comes down to?

The Watchtower is stuck with a very unfortunate mistake made when Russell's predictions failed.

    Russell predicted Armageddon in 1914.

    THAT did not happen.

Everything which came after was a cover up. All the doctrines were what happen when a liar backtracks.

    Bottom line?

Jesus did or did not return in 1914.

IF HE DID return in 1914, what the hell has he been DOING for NINETY-SIX (96) YEARS???

Face it, this is an embarassing belief.

Jesus came back and did not deliver the goods!

The "good news" of Watchtowerland isn't very good. Jesus is back and doing absolutely nothing!

Could this be one of the False messiahs warned of?

Food for thought: the Watchtower may be a false prophet.

One just hopes that they apply this change logic to the blood doctrine, and soon.
